The first of the RNZAF's four brand new P-8A Poseidon maritime surveillance aircraft has arrived in the country.   

The Poseidon replaces the P-3 Orions which have been in service since the mid-1960s.

The three other Poseidon aircraft are due to be in New Zealand by mid-2023 with the fleet in full service by the end of the year.

Here at Warbirds Over Wanaka we're hoping for a display from this impressive aircraft at our next airshow at Easter 2024 (March 29, 30, 31).
