FRIDAY EARLYBIRD SILVER PASSES NO LONGER ON SALE
WOW is unlike any other aviation event - the mountain scenery and amphitheatre provide a stunning backdrop to an extravaganza of action over three days. Over the three days you will see over 80 aircraft including warbirds, jets, helicopters, aerobatic displays and much more!
One of the top four Warbirds Airshows in the world, we again bring you a stunning array of WWII and WWI aircraft along with some exciting modern jets. You will be so close to the aircraft you feel as though you can touch them. See also static displays of aircraft for sale and Warhorse military vehicles, re-enactors, vintage machinery, tractors and cars and a special display of sport aircraft.
Taste wine and food from Central Otago, make use of the special children’s area and crèche. Parking is complimentary with a park and ride option for the disabled and elderly.
A special World War I centenary celebration on the Wanaka lakefront on Friday 18th will be free for locals and visitors. The aim is to educate new generations about the role aircraft and New Zealand pilots played in the Great War 100 years ago. Come and see these extraordinary aircraft flying over Lake Wanaka. More details to follow.
Stay on Monday 21st April for Rides Day (no entry fee) and see what it is like to ride in a warbird, helicopter, microlight, DC3 and other aircraft. Book flights from here first.
Friday 18th April 2014 is practice day for aircraft and all ground displays and stalls will be operational.
Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th are the Airshow display days where the action is continuous from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Gates open at 7.30am on all three days.
For those of you who wish to purchase that aviation item or just do some Easter weekend shopping our Aviation Trade stands, market stalls and wine and food stands will fill your needs.

"WOW 2012 was a great display of how diverse aviation is, we enjoyed the crop duster display as much as the Warbirds, it's not something we see everyday. Great airshow, not to mention the beautiful little town of Wanaka! We are definately returning!"
Still Silver Friday and Sunday passes available at the gate 18.4.14
