A huge thank you to all of you who helped us deliver the 14th Warbirds Over Wanaka Airshow - we couldn't do it without you!
We will have registrations for those returning and new volunteers, on this website from the end of April 2015.
Volunteers are our eyes and ears around the airshow and we simply could not run the Airshow without you. We normally have between 300 and 400 volunteers, depending on the programme we put together.
You will meet new people, see some extraordinary flying displays and will have served a very worthy cause. The Warbirds Over Wanaka Community Trust aims to educate, inspire and entertain and put funds back into the local region. Your enthusiasm, energy and willingness to help goes a long way to ensuring our patrons have an outstanding airshow.
We prefer to have you volunteer for all three days and anyone coming for three days will receive a WOW uniform and lunches along with your Airshow pass.
The volunteer process is:
- Enrol on the form attached
- We will come back to you within several weeks to discuss your skills and where you would like to work
- You will be confirmed as a volunteer
- In the last few weeks leading up to the Airshow you will receive induction and training
- You work at the Airshow
- You give us feedback
- We thank you!
"You honoured me with the Volunteering position. Enjoyed is a small description, I had a fabulous time." Albert.
