The Mustang flight is as good as it gets! 

The No. 1 fighter of all time, the Mustang operated in the World War II European amphitheatre and was responsible for turning the war around for the Allied Forces. Its long range capability meant it could escort the bomber squads all the way from England to Berlin and back. At speeds of 800 kmh the flight is pure magic, a tear jerking experience of sheer noise, vibration and smell.

The Prize 

The prize is a 30 minute flight from and back to Wanaka Airport during or just after the Airshow in April 2010. Not for the faint hearted, mild aerobatics are included if desired. If the weather is unsuitable the flight will be taken at a later date.

How to win

Buy any adult ticket to the 2010 Warbirds Over Wanaka Airshow before 30 November 2009 and you go into the draw. You can buy tickets here.

Competition Rules

• The Mustang flight is not suitable for children. The prize is valid for persons over 16 years only.
• You must purchase an adult ticket to the Warbirds Over Wanaka Airshow 2010 before 30 November 2009 to go into the draw.
• The flight must be taken either after the Airshow has finished on 2,3,4th April or Monday 5th April. 
• The winner must be available for media photos before, during and after the flight.
• The flight is subject to the ongoing availability of the Mustang.
• The flight is subject to weather conditions.
