Aircraft for Sale

A number of leading aircraft manufacturers, including Pilatus, Hawker Pacific and Cirrus we anticipate will be at Wanaka to show off their new aircraft.

Sport Aircraft Display

Sport aircraft, including gyrocopters, RANS, Piper Cubs, Hornets, replicas and percentage scale aircraft were displayed on the ground and in the air. Displays of aircraft parts and demonstrations in the hangar gave an opportunity to see what is needed to purchase or build an entry-level aircraft.

Trade stands

Aviation trade stands offered everything from headsets and avionics to aviation software, hangar sweepers and hangar doors and aviation safety.

Market stands

There is much here for the families and that Easter shop.  From outdoor clothing, gifts, jewellery, cowhides, steel art, books and Coats of Arms to name a few....

Wanaka Warhorses

Our favourite re-enactors were once again displaying vehicles, armaments, uniforms, tanks, jeeps, trucks and guns from WWI and WWII.

Food & Beverage Stalls

Scrumptious food and beverages were available with Central Otago delicacies and the Region's famous Pinot Noir wine.  Wine and local Craft Beer stalls also.

Stationary Engines

Wanaka is famous for its stationary engines which line the main entrance way. This has been a favourite ground display for many as they enter the Airshow. Air and water pumps, turbine jets and compressors often made up part of this display.

Entertainment

Our very own Frankie Singers will be here once again to take you back to WWII....

Upper Clutha School Children

Every Airshow WOW offers all school children in the Upper Clutha area the opportunity to come to Warbirds Over Wanaka on Easter Friday free of charge.  The Air Cadets 50th Squadron host them and show them around.  We need these young ones to enter the aviation world and help us fulfill our Mission 'To educate through the celebration and promotion of aviation past and present.'

ALL CHILDREN ARE FREE ON FRIDAY 10TH APRIL 2020.

Rides Day information will be available at the end of May.

2018 WOW merchandise is still available via WOW's online shop.
