We welcome all Kiwis and International visitors at our Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow 2020 at Easter weekend. The Airshow is over three days:

Friday 10th April is practice day. 

Saturday 11th April and Sunday 12th April are the Airshow display days where continuous action with the flying programme from 10am to 4pm.

Gates open at 7.30am on all three days.  All Airshow parking is free.

Ticket Options


Titanium pass – a One-Day Pass for Saturday only (Sunday sold out)

The Titanium pass is our exclusive ONE-day pass for Saturday, giving you the ultimate in luxury at the Airshow.  You are in a marquee situated directly in front of the runway with an outside seating area and a grandstand that holds 96 patrons. 

A continual buffet, including complimentary Continental breakfast (7.30am to 11am), morning and afternoon teas, lunch and great Central Otago wines and beer, until 4pm.

  • A Titanium pack including Titanium cap, Airshow badge and Airshow programme as a collector’s souvenir.

  • A voucher for free entry to the Warbirds and Wheels Museum (vintage cars, warbirds, art and our Founder, Sir Tim Wallis’ story). 

  • Free WiFi and closed circuit television to watch the Airshow whilst partaking in local specialties. 

  • Priority parking and transport to the Titanium enclosure if required.

  • Mingle with pilots, get their autographs and walk the flight line once on Saturday or Sunday.

Passes are limited to 100 persons each day and this pass is only available in advance.


Gold Pass – Three-day pass

The three-day Gold Pass gives you the best seats at the Airshow in a grandstand situated directly in front of the runway. 

Attached is a large marquee hospitality area where you may purchase from our different food options, with wine, spirits and beer able to be purchased from a cash bar.  Complimentary tea, coffee and water are available throughout the Airshow and breakfast may be purchased from 7.30am.  This area has its own facilities with closed circuit television to watch the Airshow.

You will receive a free souvenir pack with dated Gold cap and badge, Airshow programme as a collector’s souvenir and one complimentary drink.  Also a voucher for free entry to the Warbirds and Wheels visitor attraction (vintage cars, warbirds, art and our Founder, Sir Tim Wallis’ story).  Mingle with some pilots, get autographs and walk the flightline once on the Saturday or Sunday. 

Priority parking and will be transported to the Gold Pass enclosure if required. 
This pass is only available in advance with limited numbers and it does not have a single day ticket option.  If children take a seat in the stand they pay full price.


Silver pass – Three-day or single day pass

The Silver Pass provides more tiered seating for the Airshow along the runway, with onsite amenities but with no covered facility.  Refreshments include a selection of different coffee and food stalls with tasty morsels, craft beers and wine, within 50 metres of the stand.

Limited numbers available.  The Silver Pass does have a single day pass option.

If children take a seat in the stand they pay full price.


Hurricane Tim Marquee – One Day pass for Saturday or Sunday only

The Hurricane Tim Marquee pass is for Saturday 11th April or Sunday 12th April.  A premium ticket offering with limited tickets (300 per day).

A great position in the middle of the flight-line, in a large marquee with an exclusive grass area at the front.  Enjoy the Airshow from your seat on the grass (no grandstand).  There will be tables and chairs seating both inside and outside the marquee.

Your ticket includes entry to the airshow, all day tea and coffee plus morning and afternoon tea, a great lunch from the BBQ Grill and access to a cash bar.

General Admission Pass

General Admission passes provide you with access through the gate and the ability to watch the Airshow from the flightline. Bring your own rug or folding chair. Some upgrades to a Silver grandstand pass may be available on the day if the grandstand has any spare seats – from the WOW Event Office. Access to all ground displays and free parking.

• All children aged 0-16 are free on Friday 10th April.
• Child = 5 to 16 years
• Children under five are free.
• A child that sits in a seat in a stand pays the full adult price
• Family Pass is two adults and two children
• Gate Sale prices are higher than pre-booked prices as above
• Booking and Delivery fees apply to all tickets

• Veterans, the elderly and disabled please register with us to get assistance at the Airshow in moving from the car park and to meet other Veterans on 0800 496 920 or
• No drones at the Airshow or in the carparks or within 4 kilometres of the Airport
• No dogs allowed at the airshow or in the car parks
• No chilly bins (food for small infants in a back pack is fine)
• No alcohol.
