Lake Wanaka at Easter is one of the most spectacular places in the world. Taking centre stage at the 2012 International Airshow, Wanaka will be host to most of the aircraft featured in our poster opposite. These aircraft have flown at Warbirds Over Wanaka over the decades and we are making a concerted effort to get as many as possible here and flying. Some will be on static display in Warbirds and Wheels.

Landing on Lake Wanaka will be the Catalina - a sight not to be missed. In addition you may take a flight in the DC3 from the Airshow.

The ground programme will excite young and old with vintage stationary machinery, vintage tractors, vintage fire engines and Ford Vehicles Through the Ages - an extraordinary display of both old and new Fords over the years. In addition the Warhorses and trade stands will keep you enthralled from 7.30am when the gates open.

"This will be my 11th consecutive trip to WOW & I will continue to attend as long as I’m able.. I would like to comment on the quality of the entire WOW which is outstanding...each time I come I note continued improvements made to the lay-out & infrastructure on the ground at WOW..the ground show & of course the airshow which continues to reign supreme...each time there is a big effort by you & all associated to make this show better than the last, especially in this current economic climate...it can’t be easy.

Each time I visit I’m wowed by something new...something different & think can it get any better...I think so... just looking at a little of what’s to be next year gives testimony to that ...can’t wait, so great work by you guys...

So yes, I’ll be up there on the Grandstand from dawn 'til dusk, at least on Sat & Sun, staying put all day so as to miss nothing with my camera with exception of a call of nature or my rumbling stomach calling out...food...food...

I know I’ll have a great time as I also realise I will meet a whole lot of new like minded people along with those I have met so far ... So I will say thankyou now & wait patiently as the days count down....Regards Brian
