2014 Airshow
Warbirds Over Wanaka International Airshow 2014 will be a unique warbirds airshow with a one-off special event celebrating WWI on Friday and a Rides Day on Monday.
2014 Airshow Programme
See some of the most famous warbirds in the world join forces with the classic aircraft of yesteryear and the modern jets of today to present a veritable feast of aviation attractions. On the ground, a variety of military vehicles, vintage tractors, vintage machinery and an aviation trade expo will vie for your attention.
In a one-off special event we will be celebrating 100 years since WWI over the Lake on the Friday afternoon 18th April.

Rides Day on Monday 21st April will give you the opportunity to have a flight in a Warbird, microlight or other aircraft. Stay an extra night....or more if you wish to start training to be a pilot!

WWI CENTENARY
A special World War I centenary celebration on the Wanaka lakefront on Friday 18th in the afternoon will be free for locals and visitors. The aim is to educate new generations about the role aircraft and New Zealand pilots played in the Great War 100 years ago. Come and see these extraordinary aircraft flying over Lake Wanaka. RIDES DAY
Stay on Monday 21st April for Rides Day (no entry fee) and see what it is like to ride in a warbird, helicopter, microlight, DC3 and other aircraft. Book flights from here.

Your aircraft park is at the end of runway 11 - Follow Me will lead you there. Walk 300m to the entrance where you can purchase tickets for the Airshow (note premium prices for Gate Sales).
